Capra di Mare Designs

Capra di Mare, Italian for "Sea Goat," reflects not only our penchant for nautical design and coastal living, but also the strong work ethic and sure footing that are quintessentially Capricornian.  Our "goat" mode is not only evident in our name, but is also evident throughout our boutique where we feature some of the finest goat milk soaps and lotions, note cards, paper products, 100% cashmere sweaters, wraps and throws, nautical decor and art, men's and women's apparel, and new and vintage furniture.

Primary Designer

Function and form are the foundation of design for Lynn, our primary designer.  In a busy, modern home, Lynn believes there's no time or space to waste.  Every element of design should have a place and purpose.  Something as simple as a chair is expected to not only bring style and comfort, but also storage and potentially even a story to the table.

Lynn's passion for design was first evident when, as a child, she redesigned her bedroom from a cheery yellow to a studious contrast of pale ivories and warm woods, including meticulous details like creating the appearance of walnut baseboards through a layered paint application.  Later, Lynn's keen eye for substance and style prompted her to start her first business which focused on jewelry design and sales.  As a jewelry designer, Lynn was fortunate to have some of her pieces featured and worn by television personalities and news anchors. During the past seven years, Lynn has spent countless hours on residential design projects in multiple locations in Central and North Florida and in the Southeastern United States.

Originally from North Carolina, Lynn knows a thing or two about fine furniture.  Lynn carefully curates each piece of furniture and décor available in our showroom, and has a knack for turning a once drab piece of furniture into an instant fab.  As a registered CAPS professional, Lynn can also assist in single-space or  full property design to meet  specific interests, as well as access and safety concerns.

Design Assistant

Our friendly and decidedly furry Design Assistant has been known to provide vociferous input during the design process, and has a knack for rearranging furniture to create optimal canine aesthetics.  This design sensation is also known for selecting, and often commandeering, the most comfortable seat in the house. His design forte is incorporating pet-friendly features into every room.  If a customized treat jar mysteriously shows up in your project design, he may stop by later so you can thank him.
